Working Class Geeks Update

Happy Monday everyone!

First off, we just want to say thank you so much for checking out workingclassgeeks and making us a part of your day!  We are consistently overwhelmed and so thankful for everyone’s support.

As you may have noticed, the site received a unscheduled redesign recently, and that got us thinking.  For the last two years, we have put out at least two free webcomics each week (sometimes three or more!).  I (Logan) really wanted to make it a point of emphasis to meet a production schedule, while churning out a quality comic.  Depending on your definition of that, I think we performed rather admirably.

However, it came at a cost.

For the past two years, this free site and its webcomics required a lot of personal sacrifice.  Be it from the all-nighters before going to the normal 9-5 job, or the mounting expenses for hosting the site, advertising and materials for each page; everything is adding up.

We can continue what started out as a passion project between four friends at this pace, but really it now feels like an obligation and has become stifled with our self-imposed guidelines and expectations.

Let me be clear, we are not ceasing production and closing the site.  Instead, we are going to switch to fewer posts per month.  I know this means a lot of you guys will move on to other things, and for that I am truly sorry.  The support we have received has been what kept this endeavor going for as long as it has.  But it has become unfeasible for me to continue this schedule.

We hope at this new rate, we can produce higher quality comics, and offer a more robust experience everytime you visit workingclassgeeks.

We are adament about wanting to continue.  We will update everyone soon about a new posting schedule, and will still be tinkering with the site to make it the best possible.  Thank you for sticking with us through this transition, and we promise, it will be worth it in the end.
